Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Roambeast ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. Age Requirement

You must be at least 13 years old to use Roambeast. By using the App you confirm that you meet this requirement. If you are under 18, you confirm that a parent or guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf.

3. Physical Safety

Roambeast is a game that encourages you to walk outdoors. Your physical safety is your own responsibility. By using the App you agree to:

• Stay aware of your surroundings at all times while playing.
• Never play while driving, cycling, or operating any vehicle.
• Never enter private property, restricted areas, or hazardous locations while playing.
• Comply with all applicable local laws, rules, and regulations.

The App does not grant you permission to access any area, public or private. Creature and crystal locations are generated from public road and path data — their placement does not imply any right of entry.

4. License to Use

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use Roambeast on a device you own or control, solely for personal, non-commercial gameplay. This licence does not include the right to sublicense, sell, resell, or otherwise commercially exploit the App or its content.

5. Intellectual Property

Roambeast, including all visual designs, creature artwork, sounds, game mechanics, and associated materials, is owned by Bendik Aune / nxtech.no and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, reverse engineer, or create derivative works from any part of the App without prior written permission.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components. Your use of the App is at your sole risk.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Bendik Aune / nxtech.no shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to personal injury, property damage, loss of data, or loss of profits.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or related to the App shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App (which is €0 for a free app). Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of liability for consequential damages, so the above limitation may not apply to you.

8. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Bendik Aune / nxtech.no from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the App or your violation of these Terms.

9. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of Norway. Any dispute arising from or related to these Terms or the App shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Norwegian courts, with Oslo district court (Oslo tingrett) as the agreed venue.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via an in-app notice on your next session, and the "Last updated" date at the top of this page will be revised. Continued use of the App after the effective date of any update constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
